BMJ Best Practice

Available to all NHS staff, via NHS OpenAthens login, BMJ Best Practice gives you key, evidence-based information in an easy to read format. The comorbidities manager helps you manage patients with multiple conditions. Use additional tools such as the clinical calculators, BNF and patient leaflets to enhance your patient support. Download the mobile app to get the best evidence on the go, in meetings and at ward rounds.

Find Clinical Overviews of a myriad of diseases and conditions on Clinical Key. Quickly search by topic or browse the A-Z list to get pinpoint information for diagnosis, treatment, management and more to give you the answers you need. You can also access clinical calculators and download or print patient leaflets as well as search across the guidelines, journals and ebooks collections. Download the app to get all this information on the go.

Clinical key is available to UHNM staff via NHS OpenAthens username.

Clinical Knowledge Summaries

Aimed at primary care professionals the Clinical Knowledge Summaries present an easy to read evidence-based summary of a plethora of healthcare conditions. The presentation includes background information, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, ongoing management and more as well as references. Clinical Knowledge Summaries are freely available on the Internet.

Cashless payments only at the Health Library

  We are now cashless at the Health Library. If you need to pay any library charges or purchase anything at the counter we now only take credit / debit card payments. You don't need to visit the library to pay your overdue charges. The Health Library also offers you the option of paying any library charges online via the Keele University online store. Both Keele University members and NHS staff members can use the Keele University online store.
