NHS staff can save time and money with Specialist Support from the Health Library

 Access specialist support from the Health Library and save time and money. Our services can get you to the information you need quickly: Inter-Library Loan (ILL) Service – don’t waste money purchasing online articles. Our ILL service will help you to get to information sources which are not covered by our subscriptions. We will try to borrow or copy the relevant items from another library on your behalf. Literature Search Service – request a literature search and one of our experienced librarians will do the search for you. You’ll receive a report including a list of the articles and research we have found for your topic. Complete the online form to make a request. NHS Outreach Service – users working for the Staffordshire ICB or for North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare can contact the Outreach Librarians for help accessing resources. We also have pages to support specific groups of staff to help you to get straight to the resources that will benefit you most. M

Psoriasis Awareness Month August 2023

  August is Psoriasis Awareness Month – initially introduced by the National Psoriasis Foundation in the United States (as Psoriasis Action Month) it is now recognised globally in order to raise awareness of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Psoriasis is more than just a skin condition, and it can affect people physically and psychologically. It is currently estimated that it affects between 2% and 3% of the UK population - up to 1.8 million people. RELATED LIBRARY RESOURCES  The Health Libraries, both at the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, offer numerous resources related to psoriasis. Whether you or a family member has the condition, or you care for patients that do, there are numerous texts available to assist you. In the lists below you’ll find a small selection of items.
