Start with an Introduction to Literature Searching – complete the starter search plan for your project or assignment. Then go on and complete more etutorials to improve your search skills . Students on Electives (Medicine) - no change to library loan rules

If you are embarking on an elective in May and June: You are welcome to continue to loan items from the library, but please be aware that normal loan periods will still apply. Items may be requested by another user and recalled.  Late return of requested items will still incur fines. Automatic renewals will run as normal, but if you wish to try to avoid having an item potentially due for return at a time when you really cannot come in, you can attempt to renew your books early via you account on Library Search.

Current Awareness Bulletin Updates

We are currently updating our Current Awareness Bulletins to include the latest ejournals that we subscribe to. You can sign-up to receive a current awareness bulletin which will include the table of contents and a selection of articles from ejournals based on a particular topic. You can view a list of bulletins available, along with the ejournals included via our Current Awareness Service dashboard page . If you are not sure how to find or use our online resources, then try our Getting Started etutorials . You’ll learn how to get access, how to search and how to access full-text. eTutorials are available for our most popular online resources, both Keele and NHS. Most are very short; you can jump to the section you need and most include either step-by-step instructions or video demonstrations. All our etutorials allow you to download and save our etutorial reflection document which you can add to your portfolio.
