New England Journal of Medicine

At long last we now have online access to the New England Journal of Medicine online (http://ejournals.ebsco.com/Journal2.asp?JournalID=102417) (all articles from 1993 to present). Direct access is available via computers across Keele Campus, UHNS, and the Health Library. As a joint purchase between NHS and Keele University, you can now access offsite via an NHS Athens account. Keele Athens access is still under negotiation. Please go through either the Keele (http://sfx.exlibrisgroup.com/keele/az/) or NHS A-Z (http://www.library.nhs.uk/booksandjournals) list for access to check current availability options. Additional features of the website include a series of videos on common clinical procedures. http://click2.nejm.org/cts/click?q=137%3B67143267%3BDH0MNK1uDtUGxhYm2kKElqtKgdhlwj4NCa2esRztfNU%3D>. Some features such as the CME Exam, PowerPoint slides and PDA downloads can only be accessed through personal subscription and are not available to institutions.

NetLibrary not renewed

Keele students may be disappointed to learn that the University will not be renewing it's subscription to NetLibrary. NetLibrary provided access to a wide range of e-books, but the University wishes to be more selective to improve the quality of books made available. It is hoped that a number of new electronic books will be purchased from Coutts iLibrary, to be made available for the new term. For further information on e-books, please contact the Library.
