Access our eBooks from Anywhere

If you are away this Christmas don’t take any books with you – you can access our ebooks online.  Most of our ebooks collections can be found on Library Search . UHNM users can also access the ebook collection on Clinical Key . If you are a Keele user – you’ll need to login with your Keele computer login details. If you are an NHS user – you’ll need to login with your NHS Athens username. Thanks for your donations to the Foodbank Collection

Thank you to everyone who kindly donated items which will make such a difference to people in crisis this Christmas. Here is  Health Library staff member Janet Ford pictured surrounded by some of the donations to the Food Bank appeal. Clinical Effectiveness Bulletin

The Clinical Effectiveness Bulletin , produced by the NHS Outreach Team is now available via the Health Library website. Issues are added to the website as they become available, so you can always find them online. The bulletin aims to draw attention to key documents, guidance and evidence-based reviews on clinical effectiveness. It is published on a monthly basis. Bowel Cancer Awareness Month December 2017

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK, with most people being diagnosed over the age of 60. However it shouldn’t be. It’s treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early. This December, Bowel Cancer UK have brought back their annual campaign DECEMBEARD. This campaign encourages men cross the country men to put away the razors and growing beards for December to raise awareness and money to support our vital research and lifesaving work to stop bowel cancer.  Whether you’re new to facial fuzz or an experienced beard grower it’s easy to join in; just clean shave on 30th November and watch your beard blossom. Already bearded? Ditch or dye your beard for December and get sponsored to sport a new look for the month.
