Join Elsevier and Danish Institute of Public Health on Tuesday 31 October for a 45 minute webinar to raise awareness this #Pinktober about Breast Cancer Screening, The session will focus on people with intellectual disabilities, as part of the activities of EMPOWER - Elsevier’s project which aims to make healthcare truly inclusive.  Dr. Ximena Alvira, Clinical and Research Manager at Elsevier, will be moderating a dialogue panel joined by researchers: Trine Allerslev Horsbøl, RN, MScN, PhD Lau Caspar Thygesen, professor, PhD from the Danish Institute of Public Health Dr. Janne Bigaard, MD, PhD from Danish Cancer Society  They will discuss Breast Cancer screening in research and practice, as well as the importance of including people with intellectual disabilities. The original content is based on “ Textbook of Primary Care Medicine ” (3rd Edition) by John Noble. To promote credibility and maintain standards, the wiki content can only be edited by a board of certified professionals. Site users can engage in topic discussion, provide comment and suggestions.
