There is an intermittent error affecting the online form for NHS Athens registrations. The following error is displayed. screen-shot of form error NICE are aware of the problem and are investigating it.

University Hospitals of North Midlands have changed their email address structure. Thus our UHNM users will find that their uhns email addresses have now become uhnm email addresses. As I understand it emails with your old address will still be received at your new address but presumable at some point in the future this will be changed. Unfortunately there is no way for us to globally update users email addresses on our eresource-related systems. How might this impact on your access to online resources? NHS Athens Your NHS Athens account will be listed with the email address that you registered with. You need to update this to your new uhnm email address. Log on to your account and click the change email address option on the left-hand-side. Why? Athens will email you to remind you to renew your username prior to it expiring. The students based here at the Health Library can apply for an NHS trust-based Athens username. This is to support you when you are on placement – you will be able to access the same online resources as your NHS colleagues. These will often be different to the Keele resources that you access. To apply for a trust-based NHS Athens accounts you need to complete the online form . Make sure you use your Keele-based email address so that we can verify you quickly. Select the NHS organisation where you will be on placement. Please provide as much relevant information so that you can be identified and your application verified quickly. Once you have submitted the form you will be sent an email from Athens / Eduserv. You need to action the instructions it contains to complete the registration. If you want to access our NHS-subscribed online resources, you'll need to register for an NHS Athens username / password. This will allow you to login to databases, journal collections and ebooks to access the full-text. Our NHS Athens page includes all the links you will need to maintain your Athens username. As well as give you information and advice on how to register.

Our NHS users can access a variety of online resources. eBooks, ejournals and databases as well as: BNF App – the lastest drug information, updated regularly BMJ Case Reports (UHNM only) – access the full-text of unusual case reports; submit your own! Have you registered with NHS Athens yet? NHS Athens is a username / password that allows you to access lots of our NHS-based online resources. It would appear that the error is linked to the optional box “I agree to be contacted occasionally by NICE for surveys and research to improve NICE products”. Who can apply for an NHS Athens account? If you work for an NHS trust you can apply for an NHS Athens account. You will then be able to access the resources that your trust subscribes to. How can I get an NHS Athens username / password? You need to register online for your NHS Athens username / password. We have been experiencing problems with our NHS Athens access to the Journal of the American Medical Association - JAMA - and associated "Archives of..." titles.
