Start by checking these resources: NHS OpenAthens username Your NHS OpenAthens username unlocks full-text from a wide range of online resources. Most of our subscribed resources can be access by the single OpenAthens username. Full-Text eJournals for NHS Staff

The Health Library subscribes to a range of online journals specifically for our NHS users. You can find out what is available by logging on to your NHS Journals A-Z list with your OpenAthens username . You'll be able to search for a particular journal title and see whether it is available, what holdings are covered and where you can access the title from. Note that we buy journal titles from different databases, platforms and publishers. The title you need may be available from a different platform to the main publisher. Can’t access the full-text? Do you need to request an Inter-Library Loan?

If you can’t access the full-text of an article then you may need to apply for an Inter-Library Loan. We will try to get you a copy of the article from another library. But… first things first – have you checked our available collections ? Check Library Search for the print version of the journal and article – is it already sitting on our shelves? NHS staff should check the NHS A-Z Journals List. You’ll need to log on with your Athens username. You can then check for the journal title of the article to see if it is included in our online subscription. Check Library Search to see if the article is available via Keele resources. Keele users will be able to access Keele resources either via the Keele network or by logging on with their Keele username / password. NHS library members can access Keele networked resources by requesting a temporary Keele login for walk-in access.
