NHS eJournals Links - maintenance Sunday 27th Feb

The system which maintains the links to our NHS eJournal collection, via the NHS My Journals listing and the ejournal links via the NHS Healthcare Databases Advanced Search (HDAS), will undergo maintenance on Sunday 27th February. This may result in links to full-text articles being unavailable during periods throughout the day. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

We are trialling a current awareness service that will allow you to:
  • Browse the latest headlines from subject specific journals and websites
  • Sign-up to email alerts to keep you informed of the latest headlines
  • Link to our subscribed resources
We currently have a small selection of topics on offer including:
  • Health News – headlines from a range of newspapers and Dept of Health resources
  • Professional News – for medics and nurses, providing you with information from your professional organisations
  • Commissioning – news and articles related to commissioning
  • And others

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) recently published "Finding, using and managing information: nursing, midwifery, health and social care information literacy competencies" This helps staff to understand what skills they need to achieve in relation to information management.
The Health Library can help you to develop and demonstrate these skills and we have put together a checklist of our resources, services and training that will assist you.
