NHS library cards for the Health Library all have an expiry date set.  NHS staff are be contacted before your card expires asking whether you wish to renew and continue your membership.  Please make sure that you respond to ensure that your membership continues. All Health Library cards with bar code number beginning 508 need to be replaced. Keele University have updated a number of systems and you will need to replace your library card in order to continue using them. These include: Door access at weekends and in the evenings – the swipe access system on the side-entrance has been updated and you will need a new library card to be able to use it Photocopies and Keele printers – you will need a new card to use the photocopiers and Keele printers and pay for services Next time you visit the library please pop along to the counter to request a library card replacement.

There will be no card loading machines available to add credit to Keele or NHS Library cards (to pay for printing and photocopying) after Friday 29 th July. If you require any printing or photocopying and do not have sufficient funds on your card: Add your printable items to a memory stick, bring to the counter, a staff member will print your items, you can pay in cash or by credit/debit card. Bring your photocopying to the counter, a staff member will photocopy your items, you can pay in cash or by credit/debit card. Keele users can add credit to their Keele card online via the Keele Card web page .

If you have an NHS library card and have received a card renewal letter from us in July / August, please get in touch with the library to update your library card. Library cards which have expired will be removed from the system shortly. Your library card allows you to: borrow books photocopy items request temporary logins to the Keele network and wifi access the library automatically during evening and weekends

The Card Loader, for use with debit/credit cards, located in the photocopier room at the Health Library, has now been fixed and should be working as normal.

The Card Loader, for use with debit/credit cards, located in the photocopier room at the Health Library, is currently out of order. You can use the cash loader to add money to your Keele or NHS Library card. Keele card holders can also add money to their card online . Apologies for the inconvenience caused. The problem has been reported to our provider.

Are the first 4 digits of your library card barcode 5000 5080 5501 5502 5608? If so your card needs to be replaced, in readiness for the introduction of swipecard access during evening and weekend opening hours from Spring 2012. This will provide greater security for customers using the library at these times. Please visit the Health Library, before 24th February, at any time during opening hours with your existing library card in order to receive your new card.
