Journals for nurses - RCN collection

 Nurses working for UHNM and North Staffs Combined Healthcare can now access a range of key nursing-specialist journal titles from the RCN. Journals include: Cancer nursing practice Emergency nurse Learning Disability Practice Mental Health Practice Nurse Researcher Nursing Children and Young People Nursing Management Nursing Older People Nursing standard Primary Health Care You can find the titles on our browzine list of journals . Just log in with your NHS OpenAthens username when prompted to access the full-text. Because of the way RCN have configured their website, a few articles may not be accessible but you can request them free of charge.

We support NHS staff working at UHNM, North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare and all the CCGs and GP practices in Staffordshire. As part of your NMC Revalidation you may be asked to provide evidence of reflection on practice and professional reading, as well as keeping up-to-date. The Health Library is here to support you. Bookshelves at the Health Library At the Library Joining the Library allows you to use our facilities, services and resources. Complete our application form and bring it, along with your NHS ID badge, to the counter so that we can set you up as a member. You can use our comfortable study areas and IT suite if you need somewhere quiet to work on your revalidation. The Nursing and Midwifery Council is the regulator for nurses and midwives in the UK. The NMC has many regulatory and administrative roles and responsibilities which I will not go into here. There are a range of benefits for members (which I'm sure you are familiar with) but I am going to point you in the direction of their freely available resources such as guidelines and information about best practice.
