Clinical Key: clinical focus for confident decisions

 Do you need an answer quickly? Want to double-check your decision? Elsevier’s Clinical Key gives you access to quick answers at the point of care. It includes uptodate, evidence-based clinical overviews, clinical calculators, practice guidelines and patient education leaflets. You can browse through the content, filter by specialty or topic or use the simple clinical search engine to get straight to the information you need. Access Clinical Key is available to UHNM staff. Love Your Liver Awareness Month - January 2023

The festive period, with the usual overindulgences of food and alcohol, takes a real toll on your liver and by January it is probably crying out for a break! This time of year certainly highlights the damage we can do to our liver by overeating and drinking alcohol and, according to the British Liver Trust, UK liver disease is on the rise. They say that 90% of liver disease is preventable, with the three main preventable causes being obesity, drinking alcohol and viral hepatitis.   Love your Liver Awareness Month is a campaign run by the British Liver Trust and is designed to raise awareness of the risks and causes of liver disease and encourage people to take active steps to a healthier lifestyle to improve their liver health.
