Information from the Campus Library about their opening hours during September.

Important: *1 April 2012 – Change to Campus Library Opening Hours*

The 24/7 opening hours at the main Campus Library to cover the main exam period has now ended, however there is news for next year.

The Campus Library opening times for the holiday period are now available.

This is an important update for Keele users of the Refworks reference management software. For details see the Campus Library news .

Please note that the Campus Library will be open 24/7 from the night of Saturday 26th November to the night of Thursday 15th December. Full details of the opening times are available here .

Keele University staff and students will now be able to access Keele e-resources off-campus by using their normal Keele log-in , so no more ATHENS! We hope this will make the process easier for you and also increase the use of our resources. More information available here .

Essential maintenance to the university network equipment will be carried out this week 11-15th July. This may result in loss of some access. The upgrades will be carried out between the following times. Between 8am and 8-30am After 5-30pm Please refer any queries to IT .

Users should be aware that the Keele University IT systems will be updated on Saturday 23rd July. This will result in some disruption to network services. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Please note that Summer Vacation Opening Hours are now in operation at the Campus Library.

The Campus Library will be open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week as follows: Saturday 16 April 2011 to Tuesday 31 May 2011 inclusive. Please see the Campus Library website for details about opening hours .

The Main Service and Short Loan Counters (Campus Library) will be closed for staff training as follows:   15 March: 09:30 – 10:30   17 March: 14:15 – 15:15 During these times please use the Self-Service points.  These are located in the Entrance Foyer and Short Loan areas. Please note that the Keele University Campus Library will have extended opening hours during the exam period in January next year. Check their opening hours web page for more details.

The Main Keele Campus Library will be running a trial 24hr opening of the Library for 5 days a week from Monday 20th April to Friday 29th May. The Main Campus Library will be open from 8.50 am on Monday mornings until 10.00 pm on Saturday evenings. Please note that counter service times remain the same. The out of hours service will be staffed by security guards. Access will be available to the reading areas, group study space/rooms, toilets, vending area and the IT Suite. If you hold a green Keele card, self-issue machines can be used to check stock out. The Health Library will not be participating in this trial.

A new series of information skills training sessions is starting at the Keele Main Campus Library. The courses are primarily aimed at postgraduate and research students, but undergraduates are free to attend. Topics covered include Reference Manager, copyright and avoiding plagiarism, effective search strategies and searching Web of Knowledge. Click here for further information and online booking.
