Key article on reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses

The previous guidance statement for reporting systematic reviews called the QUOROM Statement (QUality Of Reporting Of Meta-analyses) has recently been updated and renamed the PRISMA Statement (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses). This guidance is now freely available in the latest issue of Annal of Internal Medicine (also to be published in PLOS Medicine (with further explanation and elaboration ), BMJ (with explanation and elaboration ), Journal of Clinical Epidemiology (with explanation and elaboration ), and Open Medicine ).
