Hone your critical appraisal skills with NEJM Evidence

What is NEJM Evidence? New England Journal of Medicine Evidence (NEJM Evidence) is an online journal which publishes original research and focuses on clinical trial design and decision-making. It often includes an editorial article to accompany the research article which analyses and appraises the trial design and discusses any problematic elements. Looking for a particular journal or article - Use Browzine to view NHS Journals

Do you need to find the full-text of an article? Do you want to view the latest issue of a journal title? You can view NHS-based journal titles using Browzine. Browzine is an online resource which allows you to search for journal titles and check the access options for journal articles. You may be able to: Access full-text via a PDF download Link to the full-text online Request a copy from the Health Library Some content presented will be freely available as open access content; some will be subscribed content and you will need to log in using your NHS OpenAthens username. Some content will not be available and you can submit an article request to the library.  Here is a reminder about the collection of journals and ebooks UHNM staff can access for radiology and imaging . Clinical Key is a really good resource that provides full-text articles, journals and ebooks for this specialty. There are over 40 full-text journal titles as well as over 80 full-text ebooks .  We know that getting to that elusive full-text article can sometimes feel like you’re wandering in a maze; you’re prevented access at every turn. Before we get started remember that, as an NHS member of staff, you’ll need to have your NHS OpenAthens username for when you need to log in. Complete the online form to register. Let’s start. New journal titles available to NHS staff

NHS staff can now access full-text of 2 new journal titles: BMJ sexual and reproductive health BMJ supportive and palliative care These titles are part of NHS core content, being purchased by HEE. You can find the titles directly from the BMJ platform, NHS Knowledge and Library Hub or via the Health Library website . Log in with your NHS OpenAthens username to read full-text articles. Looking for NHS journals? Switch to Browzine

 The way to check for NHS journals is changing! The NHS A-Z list is being withdrawn. 31st March 2022. This list will no longer be available. Switch to using Browzine. Browzine is a third party tool provided by Health Education England. No login is required to browse the list. Access to full-text articles will vary depending on your organisation: select the right list from our journals page . NHS Journal Changes for 2021

  We have renewed our subscriptions to our NHS ejournals. However there have been a couple of changes to the location of access: Blood  The journal Blood is available to NHS staff via your NHS OpenAthens username. Our subscription for this title has changed this year. You can now access full-text via the Science Direct platform. Journal of Clinical Oncology The Journal of Clinical Oncology is available to NHS staff via your NHS OpenAthens username. Our subscription for this title has changed this year.
