Student Accounts Explained

During your time at Keele and while working on NHS placements, students with the School of Nursing and Midwifery and Medical School will use a number of different logins and accounts. Here is a short explanation of what they are: Keele Computer Username & Password Your Keele computer username and password is given to you by Keele IT. It is a single login that gives you access to the Keele network as well as online library resources. You should contact Keele IT if you have problems with this account. Update to Medicines Complete Login Screen

Medicines Complete have updated their home page and login screen. The home page now looks like this: Screen-shot of Medicines Complete home page To login you will need to click the “ Sign in ” link on the right-hand-side. You are then given a number of options: Screen-shot of Medicines Complete login options NHS Users (using an Athens username and password) Click the option “ Sign in via OpenAthens ” Enter your NHS Athens username / password when prompted Keele University Users (using your Keele computer username and password) Click the option “ Sign in via your home organisation ” Enter the organisation Keele University and click the link when it is presented. Enter your Keele computer username and password when prompted Contact the eResources Librarian if you experience any problems.

Library IT Suite access for NHS users

Edit: This problem has now been resolved. Keele are experiencing some problems with one of the servers controlling logins. This has affected all temporary login accounts issued to NHS staff (1 day and 5 day passes). A few student accounts have also been disrupted. The matter has been reported and IT are currently investigating. It is hoped that computer access will be regained later today.

NHS Athens

Changing jobs – now you can take your NHS Athens account with you! The transferable Athens account allows you to maintain search histories, RSS feeds and alerts. It also means there is only one NHS Athens login to remember. This is one of the many changes new operational changes to NHS Athens. Other improvements include the ability to log in using your email address instead of your username, making it easier still to remember access. For first time Athens users registering for a new account, instant access is now available by either registering on an NHS computer using your most frequently used email account, or registering at home using an NHS email account for job verification purposes.
