Health Library Information Skills eTutorials Our online tutorials are designed to give you the basics in information skills. These skills help you to identify your information needs, develop strategies to search for that information, use the best resources to obtain that information, then appraise and reference your results and communicate your findings. You can complete presentations, interactive tutorials and videos, in your own time, at your own pace. Whether you want to create your own bespoke patient information or find something ready-made, take a look at the options below. BMJ Best Practice BMJ Best Practice is a clinical decision support tool, offering evidence-based information on a wide range of conditions and diseases. Browse for patient leaflets by selecting this option from the top menu bar. You can then either browse the A-Z list or search for the condition. Once presented with the information you can either print it out or download it as a PDF file. BMJ Best Practice is available to all NHS staff. Lung Cancer Awareness Month November 2023

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month - according to Macmillan Cancer Support, more than 130 people are diagnosed with lung cancer every day in the UK.   It is the third most common cancer in the UK so highlighting the signs and symptoms of the two main types (small-cell & non-small-cell), as well as raising awareness of the treatment available is vital.   RELATED LIBRARY RESOURCES     The Health Libraries, both at the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, offer numerous resources related to this topic.
