Evidently Cochrane blog ending

 Due to loss of funding, the wonderful blog Evidently Cochrane will be ending at the end of March 2024. This has been a useful resource providing easy to read evidence summaries on a wide range of conditions and diseases. It will be sadly missed. Message from the editors: We want to acknowledge the huge contribution that all of our bloggers have made. We are very grateful. We have had a wonderful time working on the blog, and have learned so much. A big thank you also to you, our readers, for being part of our journey. Wiley Online and Cochrane Library maintenance 7th Dec 2013

We have received the following notification regarding expected maintenance to Wiley Online and the Cochrane Library: Event Title: Wiley Online Library Release & The Cochrane Library Scheduled Maintenance Downtime December 2013 Date : Saturday 7th December 2013 Time:  10:00 am UK Duration: 5 hours (approximate). How it will effect users: The Cochrane Home page will be available but reviews and search functionality will be unavailable. Is there a workaround: There will be no workaround When can users expect will it be backup: The expectation is for the systems to be back up at approximately 15:00 (UK) Saturday 7th December. (Subject to testing) Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

50 Resources for Healthcare: 4. Search for Systematic Reviews via the Cochrane Library

You can find good quality information, including systematic reviews across a wide range of conditions, diseases and treatments via the Cochrane Library . The Cochrane Review groups   perform comprehensive, systematic literature searches to identify and qualify the published research. This is then reviewed to develop a summary of the best good quality literature. You can search the Cochrane Library using the simple text box or perform more complicated searches using subject headings, search limits and the search manager to combine searches. We have a step by step guide to get you started and you can find more help including video tutorials on the Cochrane website.
