The Health Library has had to cancel the additional titles within Medicines Complete, available to NHS Athens users from UHNM and North Staffs Combined Healthcare. This is because: 1. Pharmaceutical Press, the publishers, have severely restricted the number of users allowed access. 2. This means that the resource represents poor value for money. Access to the additional titles within Medicines Complete will end 31 st  May 2018. Staff in the UHNM pharmacy department should contact the Medicines Information Manager for alternate routes to drug / medicine texts. Medicines Complete is still available to all NHS Athens users to access the BNF and BNFc.

Medicines Complete will be updating their interface soon. You can find out more about the changes here . Do you need access to the British National Formulary? There are a number of ways that you can access the BNF and the BNFc (for children). eBook – available to Keele and our NHS users. Search the catalogue for the title and you will find an entry for the BNF and the BNFc . You will need your Keele or NHS Athens username / password to access the full-text. Medicines Complete have updated their home page and login screen. You are then given a number of options: Screen-shot of Medicines Complete login options NHS Users (using an Athens username and password) Click the option “ Sign in via OpenAthens ” Enter your NHS Athens username / password when prompted Keele University Users (using your Keele computer username and password) Click the option “ Sign in via your home organisation ” Enter the organisation Keele University and click the link when it is presented. We have subscriptions to Medicines Complete for our Keele users as well as those who work at UHNS and North Staffs Combined Healthcare. Medicines Complete gives you access to a range of drug-related reference ebooks. Titles include: Clark’s Analysis of Drugs and Poisons Handbook on Injectable Drugs Herbal Medicines Pediatric Injectable Drugs Stockley’s Drug Interactions The Merck Index To access the titles go to our Healthcare Resources page and click the Medicines Complete link; you will then need to login via: the OpenAthens link if you are an NHS user or the home organisation link if you are a Keele user Note that we have slightly different subscriptions for Keele and NHS users. A number of updates to the interface for Medicines Complete are planned over the few months. You can find more information here . Medicines Complete is available to all our users using either your Keele computer username or your NHS Athens username to log on. The BNF and BNFC are both available via Medicines Complete.

You can now find edition 64 of the British National Formulary (BNF) in the Health Library. You can also find the latest edition of the BNF for Children as well. Both titles are also available online via Medicines Complete - check on our catalogue for the link. You will need to login to access the full-text using either your Keele University computer login details or your NHS Athens username and password.

Access to Medicines Complete appears to have stabilised. However if you do encounter any problems please let the eResources Librarian know.
