Oxford Handbooks Online for UHNM staff

The Oxford Handbook collection is very popular and there are regularly queues for the texts. But did you know that many of our popular titles are also available online for UHNM staff? You’ll find a list of available titles on the Health Library website – these titles are not on Library Search. The link for the title should take you straight to the full-text on the Oxford Medicine platform. Enter your UHNM OpenAthens username/password when prompted. If you use an alternate route; on the Oxford Medicine website click the "sign in" option (on the LHS of the page); click the option "sign-in via your institution" in the login box; select "NHS England" from the drop-down box; then log in with your UHNM OpenAthens username/password. You’ll then need to search for the handbook – note though that only the titles listed on our website are available.

New website for the Health Library

Our new website is going live today! The Health Library website is getting a new up-to-date look, keeping it in-line with the main Keele University look and feel. You’ll still find the same content and services to help you get to the right resources, develop your skills and practice evidence-based medicine. Some key changes: The menu is now along the top – all the original content can be found by navigating the menu. The Quick Links are listed centre-page. You’ll find the most important and popular links you’ll need here. They have been split into links for different user groups. Keep scrolling – due to the changes in the page layout you may need to keep scrolling down to find all the content. We’ve moved some sections together to reduce the number of top menu options – check the Specialist Support section for: Inter-Library Loan Service, Literature Search Service, NHS Outreach Service, More support for NHS Staff, Support for Keele academics and researchers URL
