Here at the Health Library for North Staffordshire we offer you a number of online learning opportunities: eTutorials Online Guides & Support Health Library YouTube channel Information Skills for Health blog You can use these services to learn more about the Health Library’s resources and develop your information skills. Online learning is sometimes also referred to as elearning, technology-enhanced learning, technology-enabled learning or learning online. We would like to know more about what online learning opportunities you need from the Health Library and how we can best deliver them. Please complete our   survey to let us know how we can improve our service. Even if you don’t use our services we would like to learn more about why that is.

Develop your Digital Literacy Skills – Study & Learn in a Digital Environment

There are many opportunities these days to complete online learning and you will most likely come across this either at university or work. You may opt to develop your own skills through online professional development. Online resources available over Christmas holidays

Just in case you want to continue studying over the Christmas break here is a reminder that our online resources are available 24/7. If you work for the NHS you can access NHS-based resources such as ebooks, ejournals and databases from our healthcare resources page. Our Keele users can access school specific databases: Nursing databases Midwifery databases Medical databases You can search our ejournals lists online too. We also have a number of online guides and etutorials to get you started with most of our main resources.

eJournal Help for NHS Users

We use a number of different platforms to provide you with access to our ejournal collection – such as Elsevier ScienceDirect and Wiley Online Library. It can sometimes be a bit confusing working your way around the different interfaces to find your articles and some of them have a number of strange quirks. NHS Evidence Guides

New online guides are available from NHS Evidence to help you to use the NHS Evidence search engine and the NHS Evidence Healthcare Databases Advanced Search (HDAS) . You can find links to the guides on the Databases page of our Online Tutorials section
