Every day, Crohn’s and Colitis has a devastating impact on the lives of 300,000 people across the UK - the real number could be double that. The gut is like your body’s second brain, so when it goes wrong, it can affect every aspect of your life - from your hormones and digestion, to your energy levels and mental health. Here's how we helped July to September 2018

A little later than normal - here are the stats for how we helped you over the last quarter. We completed 55 literature searches for you. Our Inter-Library Loan team supplied 97 articles for you. 119 training sessions were delivered over the last quarter. 143 members of staff registered for an athens account so that they could access our online resources. Here's how we helped July to September 2018

Can’t access the full-text? Do you need to request an Inter-Library Loan?

If you can’t access the full-text of an article then you may need to apply for an Inter-Library Loan. We will try to get you a copy of the article from another library. But… first things first – have you checked our available collections ? Check Library Search for the print version of the journal and article – is it already sitting on our shelves? NHS staff should check the NHS A-Z Journals List. You’ll need to log on with your Athens username. You can then check for the journal title of the article to see if it is included in our online subscription. Check Library Search to see if the article is available via Keele resources. Keele users will be able to access Keele resources either via the Keele network or by logging on with their Keele username / password. NHS library members can access Keele networked resources by requesting a temporary Keele login for walk-in access. If you still can’t find the full-text, then double-check on Google Scholar to see if a full-text
