Are you new to the NHS in North Staffordshire?

Are you just starting a new job with the NHS in North Staffordshire?
Have you found the Health Library yet?

We are a joint NHS / Keele University library. We specialise in healthcare-related topics.

How can we help you?
You can find us at the Clinical Education Centre, on the UHNS site, off Newcastle Road. You can see our main doors as soon as you walk into the atrium at the CEC.

You don’t need to be on a course to join. We are here to support continuous professional development, evidence-based medicine and patient care. Pop along to the library to complete an application form – bring your NHS ID badge with you.

You’ll find lots of different types of resources here – both online as well as traditional print. We have a bright, comfortable learning space and a silent study room if you want absolute quiet. You can also access a number of IT-based facilities. We provide access to the UHNS network as well as the Keele network. Our NHS members can access Keele University networked resources by requesting a temporary Keele computer login.

We can help you to find information easily:
Would you find it difficult to visit us?
If you work in the community our Outreach Team can visit you to help you to access all our resources, and we can deliver training at your workplace.

You can also access many of our resources online such as ebooks, ejournals and databases via your desktop. You’ll need to register for an NHS Athens username and password.
