50 Resources for Healthcare: 3. NICE

NICE is the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence. It is a government agency responsible for publishing guidelines relating to health and social care in the UK to ensure that professionals have access to authoritative, evidence-based guidance.

NICE provides guidance on a range of conditions and diseases, treatments, procedures and devices as well as support for public health and NHS commissioning.

The guidelines may be available in a range of formats including brief summaries, patient-focused guidance, as well as the full and comprehensives guideline including the search strategy and full bibliography.
