50 Resources for Healthcare: 4. Search for Systematic Reviews via the Cochrane Library

You can find good quality information, including systematic reviews across a wide range of conditions, diseases and treatments via the Cochrane Library . The Cochrane Review groups perform comprehensive, systematic literature searches to identify and qualify the published research. This is then reviewed to develop a summary of the best good quality literature.

You can search the Cochrane Library using the simple text box or perform more complicated searches using subject headings, search limits and the search manager to combine searches. We have a step by step guide to get you started and you can find more help including video tutorials on the Cochrane website. See our Cochrane online guides page for the links.
