The Health Library can help you in many different ways. Here is an example from our Outreach Service.

Enquiry:
Research and other evidence to inform how technology in healthcare can enable self-referral and through self-management improve engagement and outcomes. The information would be used to support an application for funding from NHS Digital as part of the National Digital Exemplar Programme.

Service Provided:
An advanced systematic search was carried out on PsychInfo and a freetext search on all healthcare databases, followed by a search on internet resources to find the most recent evidence and any related “grey literature”. The search was limited to focus on the use of technology with children and adolescents and on programmes in schools following further discussion with the project lead

Outcome:
Successful bid for £2.6m funding

Feedback:
The lit search supported our successful application for £2.6m in funding from NHS Digital to develop Trust systems as part of a National Digital Exemplar Programme. The programme began development phase on 1st Oct 2018……..Your support was much appreciated!
