Why do you need a Literature Search?

There are many reasons why you might want a literature search completed.

Our Outreach team support NHS staff who work with our community NHS organisations. They asked their enquirers why they wanted a literature search:

  • 20% wanted to share the latest research with colleagues
  • 12% wanted to use the information for patient advice
  • 11% used the information to support service development
  • 9% were looking at an audit or cost information
  • 9% wanted to use the information to support pathway development
