We can help - CASE STUDY FROM NORTH STAFFS COMBINED HEALTHCARE

The Health Library can help you in many different ways. Here is an example from our NHS Outreach Service.

Research:
One of our Outreach Librarians, Clare,  carried out literature a search on the topic of group psychological interventions alongside clients with long term physical health conditions. North Staffs Combined Healthcare has patients with a variety of conditions including medically unexplained symptoms, epilepsy, and chronic pain. A systematic search was carried out across all relevant databases and a report document was prepared which included all references, listed any systematic reviews separately, and provided links to full text using NHS Athens.

Purpose:
To provide information for an evidence base of knowledge which may be used to improve service delivery and patient care in the future.
