Working at the UHNS? Need some help finding the right information?

If you work at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and want to find health-related information we can help you.

We offer a regular training programme to support you and help you to develop your information skills so that you can find information efficiently and effectively. Whether you need to get to grips with good quality information sources online, you want to improve your literature searching skills or need to find systematic reviews, we can help.

We offer:

  • Health Essentials Online
  • Using NHS Athens
  • Literature Searching using Healthcare Databases
  • Cochrane Library introduction
  • Rapid Critical Appraisal
All the sessions involve lots of hands-on practice and the trainers encourage you to bring your topic details along with you. You can find a list of the full programme on our website. Dates are available up to December.

Don’t worry if you can’t make the scheduled dates our trainers are happy to organise a convenient date for you to attend if needed. They can also deliver training at your workplace, whether for an individual, during a meeting or other training event.

You can book online now or get in touch with Mariet and Rachael to have a chat about your requirements.
