This bulletin is produced by the North Staffordshire NHS Outreach Library and Information Service for Primary Care Trusts in North Staffordshire.

It aims to draw attention to some of the key documents and reviews on clinical effectiveness that have been published in the previous month. Sources covered include NHS Evidence, Department of Health, Cochrane Library and King's Fund.

  Found some health information and not sure if it’s true? Work out if you can trust it by using the Misinformation Unmasked strategy .   Un  –  Unsure Listen to your senses! New website for the Health Library

Our new website is going live today! The Health Library website is getting a new up-to-date look, keeping it in-line with the main Keele University look and feel. You’ll still find the same content and services to help you get to the right resources, develop your skills and practice evidence-based medicine. Some key changes: The menu is now along the top – all the original content can be found by navigating the menu. The Quick Links are listed centre-page. You’ll find the most important and popular links you’ll need here. They have been split into links for different user groups. Keep scrolling – due to the changes in the page layout you may need to keep scrolling down to find all the content. NHS HDAS Saved Searches will be Lost – instructions to save searches

From the 1 st of April the provision of the Medline and PsychInfo databases, as part of the NHS Core Content, will be delivered via ProQuest and not Ovid. Changes will be made to the NHS HDAS interface to run searches on these 2 databases via ProQuest instead of Ovid. As a consequence of these changes, any searches (and associated alerts) saved within HDAS by users, which use these databases or search across databases, will be lost. You can now find instructions on how to save your searches and alerts on our Journal Problems & Fixes page .
