Clinical Key: full-text access for in-depth reading

 Staff at UHNM can access a wealth of full-text, evidence-based resources to support in-depth reading for research and professional development. Refresh your knowledge on key topics or search for the latest research and developments.

Clinical Key includes thousands of ebooks and hundreds of journals, as well as multimedia resources; all accessible via your NHS OpenAthens username.

You can:

Find Books

The book collection includes specialty titles and key textbooks. You can browse for books by specialty, A-Z or title. You can search across the collection via keyword and filter to resource type.

Read books online or download chapters to read offline later.

Search Journals

The journal collection includes full-text access to a wide range of key journals. You can browse for journals by specialty, A-Z or title. Check which journals are available in your specialty.

You can complete simple searches across the collection via keyword and filter to resource type.

You can also link into the Clinical Key journals collection when searching the main NHS-based databases such as medline, cinahl, embase etc. as well as the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub. Full-text articles will be identified and a link provided.

Multimedia

The multimedia collection includes videos and images, which you can browse by specialty or resource type. You can also search across the collection and filter by image or video.

Clinical Key is available to UHNM staff. Access it via the Health Library NHS Resources page or log in here via OpenAthens.

V is for visit us

Why not come along and visit us? We are located on the ground floor, in the Clinical Education Centre, at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. Here are some instructions on how to get here, along with a Google Street map view. We’re in the really distinctive round building you can see from the A34. The library is usually a quiet place to study or catch up on some paperwork. You can use the silent study room if you need. We also have NHS and Keele networked computers, as well as provision for photocopying, scanning and printing.
