eBooks at the Health Library

eBooks offer you a great way to access our collection. They are available anytime and you don’t need to carry them home.

Library Search eBooks

Most of our ebook collection is available via Library Search. You can search for a title or topic and ebooks will be returned in your search results. eBook entries will be highlighted with a link icon and the text “Available Online”. See the example below: the book “Pass the PSA” is available both as a physical book in the Health Library exam collection and online.

We also provide access to a number of other ebook collections which are not available via Library Search. These collections are specific to our different NHS user groups.

Clinical Key eBooks

A collection of ebooks are available to UHNM staff via Clinical Key. You can search the entire collection or browse the titles available via specialty.

Oxford Handbooks Online

There is a collection of popular Oxford Handbook titles available online. These are accessible to UHNM staff.

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust eBooks

NHS staff working for MPFT can also access the ebook collection procured by the MPFT Library and Knowledge Service.

How to Access eBooks

Links to all our collections are listed on our ebooks page. To access the full-text of our ebook collections you will need either a Keele University computer login or your NHS OpenAthens username.

 Get in touch with the Health Library easily using our online forms, available to you any day, any time. Make a request when it's convenient for you. Just complete the relevant form , submit and we'll get back to you.
