Library Account Password Security Changes - You may need to reset your password.

This information affects NHS, SCONUL and Alumni members.

If you have a library card for the Health Library at Royal Stoke or the Library, Education and Resource Centre at County Hospital you will have set up a password for an online library account, which you access through the library catalogue Library Search.
This is used to login to your account to view your book loans, renew items and place requests on items.

The system which manages the login details is changing to increase security.

Please be aware if you have a password that is fewer than 8 characters you will find that from January 2020 that you will not be able to log in to Library Search.

Also any members who have not logged into their library account at all during 2019 will also find their password will not work.

To avoid this - please login to your account at least once in 2019, and if needed reset your Library Search password to meet the new security criteria.

If you have not logged in or reset your password before January 2020, you will need to contact the libraries to request a temporary password reset so that you can access your account and set your own password. Please contact the Health Library at 01782 679500 or Library, Education and Resource Centre at 01785 236113
