Foodbank Collection at the Health Library

We are holding a Foodbank Collection appeal at the Health Library, between November and Christmas. If you would like to make a donation, there is a display and a basket in the Health Library to deposit your item(s).

Deposit items at the display in the library

The items collected will be donated to the Newcastle-Staffs Foodbank, which is a part of the Trussell Trust. The Foodbank does amazing work, providing 3 days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. To learn more about their work, visit newcastlestaffs.foodbank.org.uk.

Any donation would be a huge help, although the Foodbank has particular shortages of:
  • Long Life Juice
  • Long Life Milk
  • Tinned Rice Pudding
  • Tinned Fruit
  • Tinned/Packet Custard
  • Tinned/Packet Potatoes
  • Tinned Meat - ham/corned beeef/etc
  • Jam
  • Biscuits
  • Chocolates
  • Toiletries - shampoo/shower gel/toothpaste/deodorants)
Your help will be greatly appreciated by the Foodbank. Thank you
