We can help - CASE STUDY AT SSOTP

The Health Library can help you in many different ways. Here is an example from our NHS Outreach Service.

Activity:
Carried out one to one training session tailored to the needs of an occupational therapist. Topics covered were search techniques, databases, and how to access and store results. Full handouts were provided and follow up support was offered by email. The training was arranged at a time and location to suit the occupational therapist.

Purpose
To enable the occupational therapist to have the skills to carry out a literature search and find evidence on the treatments available for asymmetric tonic neck reflex (ATNR). This was to increase the clinician’s knowledge of a condition and possible treatments. It may also form part of a future application to carry out a Masters in the subject.
