Current Awareness Revamp


The current awareness pages have been re-vamped to help you to find the information you need. You can now find resources to help you to keep up-to-date with:
  • Current news —such as issues affecting the NHS and its services
  • Professional news —latest developments & guidance affecting your profession
  • Research news —in-depth awareness of research in your study / work area
You will also find help to learn how to set up database alerts, where to go to find bulletins and the latest guidance, and how to use social networking tools such as twitter, blogging and RSS feeds.

The NHS Knowledge and Library Hub now has a new look. It is still the place to go to find information, articles, e-books and journals from a range of healthcare specific resources for our NHS customers; and also to find out about print books available at both of our Health Libraries. If you are on a Trust computer the desktop link to the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub will now take you to the new interface. Below is a guide to the new interface. Search page: 1. New Training Dates for Health Library Courses – April to June 2019

We’ve released new training dates for our training programme. Have a look at the training opportunities available at the Health Library this April, May and June. We can help you to develop your skills so that you can find the evidence to support decision-making and patient care. Our courses include opportunities to: Get help finding the right information via the Internet Learn how to conduct a literature search and use our databases to get information quickly Find high-level good quality systematic reviews and evidence summaries using the Cochrane Library and similar resources Start to develop your critical appraisal skills Get to grips with Refworks (Keele only) Our courses are free, provide lots of hands-on opportunities and are usually completed in 1 to 2 hours.
