New Replacement NHS Library Cards


Are the first 4 digits of your library card barcode
5000
5080
5501
5502
5608?

If so your card needs to be replaced, in readiness for the introduction of swipecard access during evening and weekend opening hours from Spring 2012.

This will provide greater security for customers using the library at these times.

Please visit the Health Library, before 24th February, at any time during opening hours with your existing library card in order to receive your new card.

Electives (Midwifery) - no change in library loan rules.

If you are embarking on an elective in the next few weeks, to ensure you do not incur any fines it is advisable to return your books to the library before starting your placement. Students are welcome to continue to borrow items, but please be aware that normal requirements to renew items, and the possibility that items will be recalled or fines incurred for late return/renewal, will still apply.

Many of our popular Oxford Handbooks are available online as ebooks. You can access them anytime. You’ll need your Keele computer login details or NHS Athens username for access the full-text.
