NHS Athens users can now access the Handbook of Practice Management online via a link from our Healthcare Resources page.
From the introductory section: “Handbook of Practice Management is not just a factual guide. It is also a source of professional wisdom about managing a general practice. The authors, two practice managers and two GPs, have worked in a variety of practices and the Handbook draws on their wide experience.”

Reduced opening hours at the Health Library over Easter 2025

 There will be reduced opening hours at the Health Library (Royal Stoke Hospital site) over the Easter holiday weekend. Friday 18th April - Closed Saturday 19th April - 10am to 4pm Sunday 20th April - Closed Monday 21st April - Closed Online resources remain accessible from our website . Alternative library access: The Health Library at County - Stafford Hospital: The library will be self-service for those w ith 24/7 hour access Friday 18 th March   - Monday 21 st April - for members who have already arranged access. To arrange 24/7 access please email library@uhnm.nhs.uk , well in advance before 18 th April. Staffed library service will resume Tuesday 22 nd  April.
