Breast Cancer and People with Intellectual Disabilities webinar Tuesday, 31 October at 15:00 p.m. CET

This webinar is available to UHNM staff.

Join Elsevier and Danish Institute of Public Health on Tuesday 31 October for a 45 minute webinar to raise awareness this #Pinktober about Breast Cancer Screening, The session will focus on people with intellectual disabilities, as part of the activities of EMPOWER - Elsevier’s project which aims to make healthcare truly inclusive. 

Dr. Ximena Alvira, Clinical and Research Manager at Elsevier, will be moderating a dialogue panel joined by researchers:

  • Trine Allerslev Horsbøl, RN, MScN, PhD
  • Lau Caspar Thygesen, professor, PhD from the Danish Institute of Public Health
  • Dr. Janne Bigaard, MD, PhD from Danish Cancer Society 

They will discuss Breast Cancer screening in research and practice, as well as the importance of including people with intellectual disabilities.

What is NEJM Evidence? New England Journal of Medicine Evidence (NEJM Evidence) is an online journal which publishes original research and focuses on clinical trial design and decision-making.
