  • Visit our quiet study space and computer workstations
  • Choose to use the library at Stoke or Stafford or online

Join the Library

If you are an NHS member of staff working for UHNM, North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare, Clinical Commissioning Groups in Staffordshire or GP practices in Staffordshire, then join our Library Service. Complete our application form and bring it to the library with your NHS ID badge.

 There will be reduced opening hours at the Health Library (Royal Stoke Hospital site) over the Easter holiday weekend. Friday 18th April - Closed Saturday 19th April - 10am to 4pm Sunday 20th April - Closed Monday 21st April - Closed Online resources remain accessible from our website . Alternative library access: The Health Library at County - Stafford Hospital: The library will be self-service for those w ith 24/7 hour access Friday 18 th March   - Monday 21 st April - for members who have already arranged access.   Want to improve your communication skills with your patients? Looking for a particular journal or article - Use Browzine to view NHS Journals

Do you need to find the full-text of an article? Do you want to view the latest issue of a journal title? You can view NHS-based journal titles using Browzine. Browzine is an online resource which allows you to search for journal titles and check the access options for journal articles. You may be able to: Access full-text via a PDF download Link to the full-text online Request a copy from the Health Library Some content presented will be freely available as open access content; some will be subscribed content and you will need to log in using your NHS OpenAthens username. Some content will not be available and you can submit an article request to the library.
