If you have a library card, you will have set up a password for an online library account, which you access through the library catalogue Library Search. This is used to login to your account to view your book loans, renew items and place requests on items.

The system which manages the login details is changing to increase security.
Please be aware if you have a password that is fewer than 8 characters you will find that from January 2020 that you will not be able to log in to Library Search.
To avoid this - in advance please reset your Library Search password to meet the security criteria.
If you have not reset your password before January 2020, you will need to contact the library to request a temporary password reset so that you can access you account and set your own password. Please contact the Health Library at 01782 679500 or Library, Education and Resource Centre at 01785 236113

Sign into Your Account
Go to Library Search and click "Sign in" at the top-right corner.

Select "NHS and other users" from the next screen. Then enter your USER ID - this is your library card 12 digit barcode number. Next enter your current password and click "Login".
You are now logged in and should be able to see your name in the top-right-hand corner.
Access Your Account Details and Enter Your New Password
Click on your name at the top of the screen and then "My Library Account" from the pop-up menu.

When your library account loads, click on "Personal Details" and then "Update Login Credentials".

You can then enter your current password in the "old" box. Enter your new password in the "new" and "confirm" boxes. Please make sure that your new password is now at least 8 characters. Click the "Save" button.
