Document supply: supporting you to make #amilliondecisions

How can we help support you to make decisions?

To base your decisions on the available evidence, invariably some sort of search for the current evidence or literature is needed.

You get your list of results and what happens – there may be some items that you are unable to access in full text from the NHS electronic resources.

Our document supply service can help you get access to this crucial information:

Inter-library loans
If it is an item that the library does not hold at all in electronic or print format, we can search for the item in other libraries which we have an inter-lending arrangement with.

We can then request a copy to be sent to us and forward it on to you or make available for collection from the library.

To request an article or book via inter-library loan the request forms can easily be found on the Health library website in the Find a Form section. There is a charge per item for this service.

Copies from stock

The item may be available in print in the library. Complete a Copies from Stock request form and the library staff can copy the item for you and have it ready for collection or to send to you. There is a charge per page for this service.
