Automatic Renewal of Library Items

The new Library Management System will now automatically renew your loaned items.

How will I know?
You won’t be automatically informed that your items have been renewed. However you can log in to your account to check. You will also be sent a monthly status report (via email) confirming the status of your library account and loans.

If an item has not been renewed then you will be informed via email.

What could stop a renewal?
Your borrowed item may not be renewed if…

  • It has been requested by another user
  • Your account is more than £10 in deficit
  • Your library membership is due to expire.

There are a small number of membership types who are not eligible for automatic renewals.
