Access NHS eJournals

All our NHS users can access journals online via the NHS Journals A-Z list.

The collection that you have access to will vary depending on your NHS organisation. All users can access the NHS Core Content collection. You may be able to access more titles if we have purchased them for you.

To check which journals you can access:

  • Go to the Health Library Journals page
  • Click the link NHS Journals (login now)
  • Log in with your NHS Athens username
  • Search for the journal title you are looking for

The NHS Knowledge and Library Hub now has a new look. It is still the place to go to find information, articles, e-books and journals from a range of healthcare specific resources for our NHS customers; and also to find out about print books available at both of our Health Libraries. New Training Dates for Health Library Courses – April to June 2019

We’ve released new training dates for our training programme. Have a look at the training opportunities available at the Health Library this April, May and June. We can help you to develop your skills so that you can find the evidence to support decision-making and patient care. Our courses include opportunities to: Get help finding the right information via the Internet Learn how to conduct a literature search and use our databases to get information quickly Find high-level good quality systematic reviews and evidence summaries using the Cochrane Library and similar resources Start to develop your critical appraisal skills Get to grips with Refworks (Keele only) Our courses are free, provide lots of hands-on opportunities and are usually completed in 1 to 2 hours.
