It aims to draw attention to some of the key documents and reviews on health inequalities which have been published in the previous two months. Sources covered include: NHS Evidence, Department of Health, Cochrane Library and King's Fund.

Diabetes Awareness Month - November 2024

  According to the charity Diabetes UK, there are 4.3 million people living with a diagnosis of diabetes in the UK.  The NHS spends approximately £10 billion a year on diabetes – almost 80% of this is spent on treating the complications. Diabetes Awareness Month takes place every November with the aim of highlighting the health challenges diabetes presents and providing help and support to those affected.    RELATED LIBRARY RESOURCES     The Health Libraries, both at the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, offer numerous resources related to this topic. In the lists below you’ll find a small selection of items from our collection.
