Dementia Action Week 13th – 19th May 2024

  According to the Alzheimer’s Society, one in three of us born in the UK today will go on to develop dementia in our lifetime, making dementia care one of the greatest challenges facing our society.  Dementia Action Week takes place every year in order to highlight the need for improved dementia care and to encourage people to take action to improve the lives of those affected by dementia.   RELATED LIBRARY RESOURCES     The Health Libraries, both at the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, offer numerous resources related to this topic. Working together & improving care – supporting UHNM’s Values

Our Clinical Effectiveness Librarian works with the Bedside Clinical Guidelines Partnership to provide the evidence supporting the guidelines. The Bedside Clinical Guidelines provide assistance for the consistent, evidence-based management of patients in acute hospital settings. They are published by The Bedside Clinical Guidelines Partnership and are used within the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM). There are 7 titles in total.
