Which library services and resources can you access remotely?

We have a whole range of services and resources that you can still access without visiting the library.

Books

We have ebook versions of many of our most popular texts. You can search on Library Search for the title you need or just enter your keywords if you are looking for a particular topic. To access the full-text you will need to use the link provided – either for NHS or Keele. Then you will be prompted to log in with either your NHS OpenAthens username or your Keele computer login details.

You can find step-by-step instructions on how to find an ebook on Library Search on our Information Skills blog.

NHS Resources

Many of our NHS journals are available online. We have a wealth of online databases and other tools to help you get the latest research and evidence for clinical practice.

Keele Resources

Nursing, midwifery and medical students can use the Health Library web site to access a special selection of healthcare-specific Keele resources. This includes core databases, books, journals and other key Internet resourses.

Article Requests

If the article you need is not in our collections you can request an inter-library loan online. Complete our form, providing as much information as possible. Although we are experiencing some delays due to covid-19 restrictions we will do our best to satisfy your request.

Literature Search Requests

Many of our staff are able to work remotely so you can still request a literature search. Complete the online form to make your request and someone will get back to you.

Training

Although our face-to-face training programme is currently suspended, our training team are experimenting with different ways to help you. Please get in touch with the training team to discuss your needs.

We do have some online options to get you started using our key resources and to help you to develop your information skills.

Library Account Queries

If you have any queries about your library account or need it renewed please get in touch via our email health.library@keele.ac.uk. We have some remote access to our systems.

Want to ask about anything else?

Do feel free to get in touch – just drop us an email if you have any other queries.
