Healthcare Databases for NHS Staff

If you want to search for information across a range of journals or are looking to do your own literature search then you need to check out the NHS Evidence Healthcare Databases Advanced Search or HDAS. This provides you with:
  • A single interface to search across a number of databases including Medline, Cinahl, PsychInfo and others
  • Thesaurus searching to help focus your search
  • Limiting parameters such as publication date, type of patient or type of publication to help you to get the most up-to-date, relevant information
  • Export options to save, email or print your results

To get access to HDAS either log on with your NHS Athens username and password at www.library.nhs.uk or see the Healthcare Resources page on the Health Library website.
