The University has recently purchased a number of ebooks to help students with their revision:
Akunjee, N.  (2009). The easy guide to OSCEs for final year medical students 
Mann, I.  (2009).  The finalist’s guide to passing the OSCE 
Patel, K. (2006).  Complete revision notes for medical finals 
Sritharan, (2007).  Essential OSCE topics for medical and surgical finals 

We have also purchased Bottomley & Rymer’s 100 Clinical cases in obstetrics and gynaecology (2008) 100 Clinical cases in obstetrics and gynaecology 

You will need your Athens username and password in order to access any ebook.

At the end of June 2025, the content of the core collection is changing.  You may find some resources are no longer available to you. Specifically affected are the Oxford Handbooks e-books and access to a range of ProQuest databases.   Oxford Handbooks: Some Oxford Handbooks are being replaced by locally purchased e-book access. We also have a range of Oxford Handbooks available in print from the health libraries. To find our local resources - in the NHS Knowledge and Libraries Hub search for Oxford Handbook. Then select the limiter 'Library Catalogue only'. Limiters are located on the left hand side of the screen. Both local e-books and print books will then show in the results. Nursing final year placements - loaning items

If the next few weeks you are embarking on your final placement before graduating: You are welcome to continue to loan items from the library, but please be aware that normal loan periods will still apply. Items may be requested by another user and recalled. Late return of requested items will still incur fines. Automatic renewals will run as normal, but if you wish to try to avoid having an item potentially due for return at a time when you really cannot come in, you can attempt to renew your books early via you account on Library Search. All items must be returned and any outstanding fines paid before you graduate.
