Cervical Cancer Prevention Week - 22nd to 28th January 2024

  According to Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, every day in the UK nine women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and two lose their lives to it.  Nearly all cases are caused by an infection with certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV). There are tools available to help prevent cervical cancer, such as cervical screening and the HPV vaccination.  However – there is still more to be done - which is why Jo’s Trust continue with their annual campaign, Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, in order to raise awareness of these tools and to tackle inequalities in cancer prevention.   RELATED LIBRARY RESOURCES     The Health Libraries, both at the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, offer numerous resources related to this topic. Library Search for NHS Users

   Library Search provides the library catalogue which includes all the books in the collections held at the Health Library (CEC), Campus Library and Health Library at County. NHS staff use Library Search differently from Keele University staff and students. Make sure you make the most of your library membership by learning how to use Library Search to get the information you need.
